Infants

At our Little Sunshines Learning Center, we understand that infants require special attention and care. That's why our infant room is designed to provide a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for our youngest children. Our highly trained caregivers prioritize the safety and security of each infant in our care, while also creating a warm and loving environment where infants can grow, learn, and explore. While in our care, the children are stimulated through music, exercise, outdoor blanket time, facial and verbal mimicking as well as lots of hugs and tickles.

Toddlers

At this age, your little one is constantly taking on new challenges and reaching new milestones at lightning speed. That's why we've created a safe and stimulating environment where they can learn, grow and explore. Throughout the day, your child will enjoy music, stories, outdoor play, and simple learning activities that are designed to encourage their development. Our caregivers are dedicated to building a trusting and loving relationship with each child to help them reach their full potential. And, to keep you informed and involved in your child's progress, we provide daily reports on meal times, nap times, toilet training, and all the exciting activities they've accomplished each day.

Preschoolers

Little Sunshines offers more than just a stimulating learning environment -

Our inspired and nurturing space encourages each child to explore their unique interests and passions at their own pace of development. Our comprehensive lesson plans are designed to cultivate not only academic skills but also creativity and critical thinking. With the guidance of our highly skilled caregivers, your child will enjoy participating in a wide range of engaging activities including music, storytelling, and outdoor play. At Little Sunshines, we believe in keeping parents fully informed of their child's progress and daily activities. That's why we send out daily reports on meal times, nap times, toilet training and all the exciting activities their children have achieved each day.

Before and After School Care

Bus pick up and drop off
At Little Sunshines, we understand the importance of reliable before and after school care for children of school age. Our seasoned caregivers provide a home away from home experience that includes convenient bus pick up and drop off services. You can rest assured that your child will be taken care of in a safe and nurturing environment, where they can relax, unwind and engage in fun and educational activities during their time with us.

Summer Programs

Little Sunshines Learning Center summer program focuses on outdoor learning. Nature, in an exciting and safe way. Teachers provide engaging activities such as outdoor games, and more. We also inspire curiosity by introducing science-based projects that stimulate their inquiring minds. Rest assured – your child will learn precious life lessons while making unforgettable memories this summer!

Sample Daily Routine

During transitions of activities, songs, finger plays, books, etc will be used to help children move to the next scheduled time or while they wait for the next activity.

During free play, there will be specific learning centers to encourage small group or individual play. There will be opportunities for art, science, math, reading and quiet time, dramatic play and kitchen area, etc. Cultural diversity is displayed in the classroom.

We may include religious practices in our routines such as:

Offer prayer before meals
Offer bible stories during small group time
We may celebrate Christmas, Easter, Halloween, & Valentine’s Day

Morning

7:00-8:00 Greetings, arrivals, free play and exploration
8:00-8:30 Hand washing/bathroom break and breakfast
8:30-9:30 Free play and exploration
9:30-10:00 Circle Time (Story with coordinating flannel board activity/song and gross motor activity)
10:00-10:30 Arts and crafts
10:30-11:30 Outside play and exploration
11:30-12:00 Hand washing/bathroom break and lunch

Afternoon

12:00-2:30 Bathroom break, rest and quiet activities
2:30-3:00 Hand washing/bathroom break and snack
3:00-3:30 Table top activities and intentional play
3:30-5:00 Clean-up, outside exploration, and departures
